Mary Ellen & Family, We are so sorry for the loss of your father. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Mary Ellen -We were so sad to hear of your dad's passing. We will remember him as a wonderful, kind man and a good neighbor. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
I had the pleasure of working with Ben back at the old Woodbury Daily Times in the era of typewriters and lead type. "Putting a paper together" in those days took cooperation between the editorial people and the "back shop," and Ben was always someone you could count on the make certain the paper "got out" on time. The sports staff always knew things would go smoothly when Ben was working out back! Although we sometimes talked about family and hobbies, I don't recall hearing of Ben's service to his country, but I now know it was more than a pleasure to work with Ben--it was truly an honor! My sincere condolences on the passing of a quiet hero!
My thoughts are with my dear friend, MaryEllen, and her lovely family. I am praying for you and your dear father and grandfather. I love you all. Lois and Rachel

My Dear Friend Ben....May you rest in Peace in Heaven!! We will miss you at Virtua. You were part of our family. You were an awesome man who loved his family. The way you talked about them made us all feel so happy for you. Your friend Fred has been crying....He said he will miss you so much, we all will. Kisses up to Heaven. Lisa Vance Jr.
