Biography
DeFilippis
Aida J.
(nee Vitale) On November 8, 2011 of Berlin, NJ. Beloved wife of the late Amiel "Flip" DeFilippis. Devoted mother of Scott and his wife Mary Anne. Dear sister Rosemarie, aunt to Ruth and Mike. Great aunt of Jackie and Dave. She will be missed by her cherished cat Sambo. Aida's legacy of love to everyone she shared her life with will never be forgotten. Aida loved her pets, summer trips to see the Ocean City Pops with her family, watching Dancing With the Stars, and cooking for an army; Italian style, for sure! She also enjoyed writing her life stories and her trips to Shop Rite with the girls. Aida spent may years as a volunteer at Virtua Hospital in Berlin touching many lives there also. You are set free Mom; now, dance, dance with Him. You are forever in our hearts! Friends and family are invited to her viewing and celebration of her life Sunday afternoon 2:00-4:00PM at the COSTANTINO FUNERAL HOME 231 W. WHITE HORSE PIKE BERLIN, NJ 08009. Funeral service 4:00PM at the funeral home. Interment will take place privately in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Contributions in Aida's memory may be made to Animal Orphanage 419 Cooper Rd. Voorhees, NJ 08043. For additional information or to email condolences, please visit CostantinoFH.com.
In Loving Memory of
Aida J. DeFilippis
February 27, 1931
November 8, 2011
When I am gone, release me, let me go. I have so many things to see and do, you mustn't tie yourself to me with tears. Be thankful for our beautiful years.
I gave to you my love. You can only guess how much you gave to me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown, but now it's time I traveled on alone.
So grieve awhile for me, if grieve you must, then let your grief be comforted by trust, it's only for a time that we must part, so bless the memories within your heart.
I won't be far away, for life goes on, though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near. All my love around you soft and clear.
And then, when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile, and say "Welcome Home."
