The Junior Classics

By William Cullen Bryant

So live, that when thy summons come to join. The innumerable caravan which moves. To that mysterious realm, where each shall take. His chamber in the silent halls of death, Thou go not, like the quarry-slave at night, Scourged to his dungeon, but, sustained and soothed. By an unfaltering trust, approach thy grave. Like one who wraps the drapery of his couch about him and lies down to pleasant dreams

Sorry to hear of Mort's passing. We graduated high school together and corresponded when he was in the service. (I was Kathryn Martz then).

I am so sorry to hear about Uncle Mort. He was such a kind, caring and loving person. I have fond memories of Aunt Ruth and Uncle Mort visiting us in Maine. I always looked forward to their visits. He would always bring me a box of chocolates. My sympathy and love to you all.
