Biography
Linda Maria Krupa (Nee Rizzo) was 67 years young when she passed into the arms of the angels on Sunday the 4th of December 2011 at 1:35 PM at her home in Cherry Hill NJ due to an 8 month struggle with cancer.
Linda was born on the 10th of May 1944 in Brooklyn NY to Emma and Dominic Rizzo. She was the oldest of three children with Elissa (Deceased) and Don as her two younger siblings.
She is survived by her husband Joseph Krupa, her son Michael Steiger and her two grandchildren, Brianna Steiger and Adrian Steiger, her brother Don Rizzo, her nephew Mark Theriault, her niece Shelly Theriault and many very dear relatives and friends who were like "adopted" sisters and brothers.
Linda was a proud and committed "Army Brat". Over the course of her life she had the opportunity to live in many places such as: Brooklyn, NY; Tokyo, Japan; Fort Sill, Oklahoma; Munich, Germany; Berkley Heights, NJ; Riverton, NJ; Willingboro, NJ; and Cherry Hill, NJ. She received her high school diploma at Munich American High School in Germany. She received a BA in elementary education at Kean University, and her MA in Music at Rutgers University, both in NJ.
Linda had a long and fulfilling career that spanned various disciplines. She was an elementary school teacher, a training specialist at RCA/CSC and at RCA/CSE - both in Moorestown, NJ. She finally settled for a long and fruitful career as a self-employed music teacher who taught voice and piano.
She was an active member of a number of associations: the South Jersey Music Teachers Assoc.; the South Jersey Investors, Inc.; and the National Assoc. of Teachers of Singing. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Salem, NJ. Linda was a singer with the Cameratta Opera theatre, Opera singer for Mozart & Friends Opera Company, and the Vocal Director for the Cherry Hill School District Summer Music Program.
Linda was friends with almost everyone she got to know and especially her long-time, devoted friends Mary I and Tammy Tarby. If you ask anyone who knew her to sum up who Linda was, they would say she was a giver of love in everything she did - whether it was talking with someone, helping a friend with a task, discussing life issues with family or friends, traveling places, teaching others something new, or sharing her love of music. Linda shared her love for and with other people in many ways, and was herself enriched by others sharing their lives with her.
If you asked Linda what her regrets may be, she would probably say there was not enough time in her life to help people in positive ways, to make music for others, to teach everyone she knew, or to make enough people smile. Also, not being able to live in Italy for part of the year.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who positively enriched Linda's life and they ask that everyone try to pass on to others the love, encouragement, fun and music that Lin shared with them.
Viewing Thursday evening 7:00-9:00PM and Friday morning 9:00AM-10:00AM at the COSTANTINO FUNERAL HOME 231 W. WHITE HORSE PIKE BERLIN, NJ 08009. Funeral Service 10:00AM at the funeral home. In Loving Memory of

December 4, 2011
Music has moments of rapturous sound and intervals of rest.
It thrills the heart with its majesty and soothes it when suppressed.
Life too has ringing, throbbing tones and muted, silent keys.
Yet both are merged at the Master's touch into living symphonies.
