Aunt Carolyn used to say you could remember her birthday because it was the same day as Lucky Lindy's. She would say that with the conviction that this information would spark the date in my mind, (I was proud to say I knew who he was, but as far his date of birth and hers, it was not a memory maker) but hearing her say it would always make me smile. She was like no one else I ever knew. Her energy and talents knew no boundaries. She had a down to earth way of making every day special, and everyone feel welcomed. Her stories were always fun to listen to. You would know if the story was about to turn comical if she started laughing in the middle of it. Her paintings were exceptional, but she was too modest to boast. Giving, loving, full of energy, that is how I will always remember her.
